Overview
In this 6-night adventure in Cuba, you will be able to discover the essence of the largest island in the Caribbean, beginning by walking through the streets of Old Havana and enjoying the best of Contemporary Cuban art, that night you will meet private owners and taxi drivers of Classic American. The next day you will depart to Trinidad, and you will visit Cienfuegos, that is known as the “Pearl of the South of Cuba” once you arrive in Trinidad, you will Visit Yudit Vidal Faife private Art Gallery; you will also visit a workshop and gallery and participate in a hands-on pottery demonstration. Then your adventure follows Camagüey, the birthplace of many Cuban artists.

10:00AM Depart for Interactive guided walking visit through Old Havana with your Cuban guide to learn about recent restoration projects and the history of the city as you explore the 4 colonial plazas. Interact with private artisans and small business owners along the way, and learn about Cuba’s dual economy, in which private and government-owned businesses operate.

12:00PM Lunch at a local private restaurant.

2:00PM Enjoy a fun and very particular informal mixology class; where your personal mixologist will guide you through the process of making 3 famous Cuban cocktails.

Havana, Cuba - January 7, 2018: Gran Teatro de La Habana Alicia Alonso gets its lights on at dusk during a gala. The theater, which was renamed after a living person (now deceased), turns its lights on every single night, rain or shine, show or no show. In doing so, it becomes arguably the most beautiful man-made structure at nigh in all of Havana.

10:00AM Depart for Interactive guided walking visit through Old Havana with your Cuban guide to learn about recent restoration projects and the history of the city as you explore the 4 colonial plazas. Interact with private artisans and small business owners along the way, and learn about Cuba’s dual economy, in which private and government-owned businesses operate.

10:00AM Be ready for an Interactive Walking Tour of the Artistry Neighborhood of San Isidro.

The tour will start at Galería Taller Gorría, nestled in the heart of the neighborhood, where you will be able to enjoy the best of Contemporary Cuban art. Founded by the renowned Cuban actor Jorge Perugorría, it is as an art center in constant contact with the community.

Afterwards, your local guide will walk you through San Isidro´s main streets. Learn about the cultural heritage it treasures, the community and the beautiful open air art murals created by famous national and international artists. For a few moments, you will feel part of the community, while engaging in the dynamics of the neighborhood and interacting with locals.

12:00PM Lunch at a local private restaurant

2:00PM Visit San Jose handcraft market, a 19th century storage house by the harbor turned into a huge indoor craft market. Time to explore and interact with local artists. A good opportunity to purchase souvenirs to help artisans!

3:00PM Return to the hotel

7:00PM Meet private owners and taxi drivers of Classic American cars and learn about their daily challenges to keep these relics running as you cruise the streets of Havana in pre-1959 Classic American cars.

8:00PM Dinner at a local restaurant

9:00PM FAC (Optional, no minors allowed) A former cooking oil plant, turned into a very avant-garde art venue. Considered to be the best night cultural proposal, it displays various artistic manifestations and captivating pieces of art.

11:30 AM Enjoy an Interactive Walking  tour around Cienfuegos historic center. View city landmarks as Jose Marti Park, Palacio Ferrer and Terry Theater. Founded in 1819 by immigrants of French origin, Cienfuegos is known as the “Pearl of the South of Cuba” and for its colonial-era buildings.

12:30PM Lunch at a local paladar

1:30 PM Visit Palacio del Valle and enjoy a cocktail. This Moorish-inspired palace stands out as the city’s prime example of this style. It was built between 1913 and 1917 and its tiles and mosaics, carvings and intricate woodwork make it a visual delight.

2:00 PM Continue trip to Trinidad. Stop at Valle de los Ingenios look out and contemplate the natural beauty of what were once, sugar cane plantations and contains archaeological and architectural remains from the colonial era.
